well, they are not that desperate! Just did the budget for September this morning and realized we have a MINIMUM $200 shortfall. oh well. It's not completely unexpected. DH has not been working for 14 months now. We've made it so far on my PT job - we can make it three more months until he is done student teaching. Then that boy is getting a JOB!
We do have to tighten up our already-tight belts. I think I will have a no-spend two weeks coming up soon. I have a cc bill to pay off by 10/1 ($300) in addition to all the regular bills. I also think I will set aside some money for envelopes after I get paid this Thursday. It really helped on my last shopping trip to have a set amount. Once I have the money in the envelopes, I am going to take the cc and debit card out of my wallet. if I need money, I'll have to take it from the appropriate envelope before I leave the house. The only exception will be gas, which DH will need to have access to a debit card for as he will be on the road so much. Wish me luck!
desperate times...

At least you know you are dealing with a limited timespan. Three months and it will all turn around. The envelope system is a good tactic and smart thinking.
Hang tough.

Something to be thinking ahead about, BUT I'm sure you already got him lined out already , but does he have a job offer already? One lined up to begin at a certain time? If not, is the resume ready to go? Interviews lined up?
