Tough week around here - both boys and myself sick with colds. Now my niece next door has it too. It will probably hit my parents next, which means it will hop to us all one more time before we can get rid of it. Grrr. The boys are a little more tired (AKA "cranky") than usual, which means I am a lot more tired AND cranky, as they have been getting me up several times for the past few nights.
Tonight DH and I have our pinochle club picnic to look forward to. Great food, nice company, and a night of playing cards. Free to boot!
Some good money news: I won two free tickets to the local movie theater. Our newspaper gives away something every week. One week my mom noticed that there were no winners - people didn't even both entering, so we started. My mom, myself, and DH have all won $10 g.c to restaurants so far. And this week I won the tickets! So keep an eye out for local contests, especially if you live in a small town like we do.
Bad money news: DH sold a video game on half.com for $13, but when he went to ship it, he noticed it was cracked. I issued a refund right away, so I hope we don't get any bad feedback from this. Also, we just got his new cc, so that means we can put his tuition on it. Our net worth will go down by $5700. This is after a few months of seeing it steadily rise. It was at $9k this week, so it will be depressing to see it down so much, especially since it will be a long time before we get the tuition paid off (0% cc for one year). I guess the upside to this is that he will not have to pay any more tuition after he is done student teaching this fall!
